Overload
Overload refers to the condition where a power source operates beyond its designed rated capacity (rated power), causing the current to exceed the power source's maximum tolerance.
Dangers: Overload can trigger the overload protection mechanism of the power source, rendering it unusable. In severe cases, it can cause overheating and damage to components. To avoid overload, appliances should be used within the power source's allowed power range (rated power) with some margin.
